About
Atheera Abdulla brings a rare blend of public-sector public-health experience and private-sector consulting acumen to Food Safety Associates. As Manager and Consultant, she works directly with hotels, resorts, food service operators, and institutional kitchens across the Maldives — translating international standards into practical, day-to-day systems that teams can actually run.
Her career began in public service, where she spent several years at the Ministry of Health as a Public Health Officer. That grounding — in regulation, inspection, and community health protection — continues to shape how she approaches every client engagement: with a clear-eyed view of risk, a respect for compliance, and an understanding that food safety is, at its core, a matter of public well-being.
Atheera joined Food Safety Associates in 2016 and has been a cornerstone of the team ever since. Over the years she has led HACCP implementations, conducted audits, delivered hands-on training, and helped clients across the hospitality and food service sectors achieve and maintain certification. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Asia e University, which informs the strategic, operational lens she brings to every project — pairing technical food safety expertise with an appreciation for how businesses actually work.
Approachable, methodical, and deeply committed to raising standards across the industry, Atheera is the kind of consultant clients keep coming back to — not just for the certificates on the wall, but for the lasting culture of safety she helps them build.
