Ihsaan InaazFRSPH

Ihsaan Inaaz is the Training Manager and Head of ICT at Food Safety Associates — a dual role that reflects a rare combination of skills: deep, hands-on food safety training experience paired with a software engineer's instinct for systems, structure, and digital transformation. A Fellow Member of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), Ihsaan has spent more than 17 years shaping how food safety is taught, delivered, and tracked across the Maldives.

He joined Food Safety Asia in 2008 as a Trainer, working directly with kitchen teams, supervisors, and managers across resorts and food businesses. Over the years he has built the training curriculum, the delivery model, and the technology backbone that allows Food Safety Associates to operate at scale today. As Training Manager, he leads the programmes that have taken thousands of food handlers from raw recruits to confident, competent practitioners. As Head of ICT, he drives the digital systems that power the firm — from certification platforms and client portals to internal operations and the FSA digital presence.

Ihsaan holds a Bachelor of Software Engineering, a foundation that has shaped his approach to everything he does. He sees training not as a series of one-off sessions but as a system to be designed, refined, and continuously improved. He sees food safety not as paperwork but as data — measurable, trackable, and worth doing well. That blend of pedagogy and engineering is what lets him modernise an industry that traditionally moves slowly.

Approachable, methodical, and quietly relentless about quality, Ihsaan is the person colleagues turn to when something needs to be built — whether that's a new training module, an internal tool, or a smarter way of working. Two specialisms, one shared mission: raising the standard of food safety across the Maldives.
